Pan Bagnat


Summer is here. Yes I don't like summer, u are sweating, sun is shinning on ur head, ur makeup is gone just after few mins. Who hell can love summer???? Nobody want spend time in kitchen with hot oven but family is hungry and trust me, hungry teenager can be really pain in ur ass :-D. I was searching something what will satisfied me and hungry baby. Woooalaaaaa my ass was saved for now.


  • 1 large bread
  • 3 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 6 Roasted Red Peppers from a jar
  • 1/2 Red Onion, peeled and sliced thinly
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • 2 x (125g) balls of Mozzarella Cheese, sliced
  • 3 fresh tomatoes, thinly sliced
  •  Chickens slices
  • Salt and pepper

     1. Cut the top of the bread and scoop all of the inside of the bread loaf ~ leaving a 1/2″ shell.
     2. Brush the inside of the bread shell and underneath the lid with the olive oil.
    3. Then the fun begins, you start to layer your sandwich. First, you place three of your roasted red peppers in the bottom of the shell, I had to cut mine into halves to fit them in snugly. Then add the sliced red onions, some torn basil leaves.
    4. Next is the Mozzarella cheese, push the slices into the corners as far as you can, tearing some if   need be, so they all fit snugly into the bread shell.
    5. Now we add the first layer of fresh sliced tomatoes, season them well with salt and black pepper too, a few more basil leaves over the tomatoes
    6. Next are chickens slices.
    7. Now we start to duplicate the ingredients again, adding more roasted red peppers, then more mozzarella cheese and then lastly adding some more slices of fresh tomatoes, not forgetting to add seasoning.
    8. Finally, wrap the whole picnic loaf in cling film and sit something VERY heavy on top. Leave it like this for at least 2 hours.

  • 1 vetsi chleb
  • 3 PL olivovy olej
  • 6 paprik v oleji, muzeme pouzit cerstve nebo je dat predem upect do trouby
  • 1/2 cervene cibule nakrajene na platky
  •  cerstva bazalka
  • 2 x (125g) Mozzarella syr nakrajeny na platky
  • 3  nakrajena rajcata
  •  sunka drubezi
  •  sul a pepr

    1. Serizneme vrsek chleba a vydlabeme tak, aby nam zustal asi 1 cm vnitrku.
    2. Vymazeme olivovym olejem.
    3.  Zacneme vrstvit. Prvni prijdou papriky, na ne dame nakrajenou cibuli a posypeme trochou bazalky
    4. Pokracujeme s Mozzarellou, vsechny vrstvy poradne stlacujeme. Na Mozzarelu dame rajcata ktera osolime, opeprime a pridame dalsi bazalku.
    5. Posledni prijde sunka.
    6. Opakujeme vrstvy dokud nenaplnime cely chleba.
    7. Zabalime chleba do potravinove folie a alespon na 2 hodiny zatizime necim tezkym. Krajime na platky.
